Park Central Redevelopment Continues to Make Progress
Park Central in midtown Phoenix continues its revitalization with a $33.5 million parking structure and continued construction on the new Aspire at Park Central multifamily project. “Park Central’s vision is about connecting the business community, the public sector, and the arts,” said Sharon Harper, Chairman and CEO of Plaza Companies. A significant new public art component will be installed in the parking structure titled ”The New Archive”, consisting of six 21-foot by 10-foot murals.
SkySong Continues Leasing Momentum
SkySong, The ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center, continues its leasing momentum by welcoming T.Y. Lin International Group to the project. The highly regarded international firm has agreed to a long-term lease on a 10,099-square-foot space in SkySong 1, with occupancy beginning on July 1, 2021. They are relocating to SkySong from their existing offices on Tempe Town Lake. The project as a whole is more than 90 percent leased.
Big Plans for 2021
In 2021, Plaza Companies and Creighton University will open the new Creighton University Health Sciences Campus, and will continue to grow the overall impact of Park Central on midtown Phoenix. Planning is underway for the sixth office building at SkySong, and Plaza is also working on medical office buildings in Prescott, Phoenix and the East Valley. Additionally, the company is seeing significant growth and expansion in its brokerage services, property management, and tenant improvement construction divisions.
